Cobblers 0-2 Latics Views

Town played well throughout the game but lacked the killer touch. This was evident as we failed to register one shot on target. Gabbiadini looked a littel off the pace and Dudfield was marked out of the game. Asamoah couldn't find that spark of magic to turn the game. Defencively we were ok, but the midfield was second best to a strong Oldham team.
No Magic This Time From Delboy

NTFConline Man of the Match
Lee Harper - Some fantastic saves kept the Cobblers in the game in the first half. He could do nothing about the goals.

Ref Watch
Mr Tomlin was ok! He pulled up play for some very minor fouls but this could be his only criticism.

Atmosphere
Another healthy crowd of 5646 created a good atmosphere. Around 750 Oldham fans got behind their team well in the second half (especially when they were winning.)

The Visitors
Oldham were probably the best team to visit Sixfields this season, fully deserving their win. Town looked like they were playing for a point and unfortuantely the visitors were too strong. Our old friend Carlo was back in town and he was greeted to a hostile reception. But he had the last laugh as Oldham took the lead a minute after he came on as a sub.

Next up - Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday
