Tribute to the New Board

Did he save the club? Did he mess up and bail out? Was it a bet? Is he a bad business man with no idea? Was it an unrealistic dream? Is he a football lover?

Many questions could be asked about Andrew Ellis, but one thing for sure is - he came, he took over and her quit! We will probably never know the real reason why he took over the club, but one thing is for sure we seem to be back on track!

Massive credit has to go the David Cardoza, the real saviour of Northampton Town Football Club, for paying off the debts which have allowed us to re-enter the transfer market again. With a combination of well established players like Sampson, Frain, Hargreaves and Gabbiadini couples with new stars like Harsley, Reid and Gill, the Cobblers now have the belief that 2nd division football will be at Sixfields for another season.

The 2-0 victory over Notts County was a real vintage Cobblers performance, one that has been lacking for months. One that was never captured in Mr Fenwick's short reign.

It's great to see Town fans put this strange experience behind them and concentrate on getting behind the team and cheering them to safety.

So can we do it? Of course we can! We were worse off last season, we've had a terrible run of form and it's our time now! The team must build on this mini run and grab the points required for safety. Lets do it with more than two games to go this time.

Finally thak you to Mr Ellis for introducing us to Mr Cardoza and Good, for planting the ambition there and getting out of town when the going got tough.
