A Wobble Or More For Gills?

Martin Allen's side remain top of League Two but have stuttered of late with two wins from eight and were surprisingly beaten at home by Barnet on Boxing Day.

"I think we've lost three in 14 or something, so I suppose that's pretty good," said Allen afterwards although he admitted that the first-half performance had been 'disappointing' from his side.

"It was only a couple of weeks ago that we won at Rotherham. There's room for improvement, but the results don't worry me."

For Northampton the game comes after the postponement of their clash at AFC Wimbledon after the Cobblers had made the journey down to South-West London.

A trip to Kent means more hours on the team coach for Aidy Boothroyd and his players but Northampton sides have come away from Priestfield with three points on 18 occasions from 55 previous meetings.
