Argyle Take Heart From Late Win

Both Aidy Boothroyd and opposite number John Sheridan have recently been under pressure following poor starts to the season but Sheridan's outlook was improved greatly by Saturday's gritty win at Mansfield.

He praised the determination shown by his side in withstanding Mansfield's pressure before a last-gasp goal gave the Pilgrims a first win in nine games.

"I would like to think it's a turning point," he said.

Meanwhile, with Roy O'Donovan out injured and a loan deal for a striker having fallen through, Boothroyd looks set to strengthen a different area of his squad this week with the signing of Peterborough midfielder Kane Ferdinand.

The 21-year-old is available on loan after struggling to make an impact in Darren Ferguson's side so far this season.
