NTFC Online Prediction on who will join Cambridge in next seasons 3rd Division:

17th - Peterborough United

May drop a place or two before the season ends and should they fail to win one from their last 3 games could even still be caught by Cobblers, Notts County or Bury. With Reading and Brighton to face before a final showdown with Bury, it wont be an easy task for Barry Fry and it could be the results of the other sides that determine how Posh fare.

End of season prediction 19th

18th – Chesterfield

Losing to Cambridge will be a blow to Chesterfield as they would have been quite safe otherwise. The defeat has now drawn in another side to the struggle to avoid relegation.

End of season prediction 17th

19th – Northampton Town

It is now up to the Cobblers on how the season ends up. 3 wins would be the easy option for survival and the possibility of catching teams as far up the league as Peterborough. Anything less will rely on teams below dropping points too.

End of season prediction 18th

20th - Notts County

Occupy the remaining survival place. Their superior goal difference make Notts County the biggest worry should the points become level.

End of season prediction 20th

21st - Bury

Level on points with Notts County and only 1 point behind the Cobblers makes Bury another team likely to give the Town a run for their money in the final run in. The goal difference is tight between both sides and should the Cobblers lose 2-0 and Bury manage a draw there would be nothing separating the two sides.

End of season prediction 21st

22nd - Bournemouth

Lost 1-0 in the last game ensuring Colchester are safe but leaves a big doubt on whether Bournemouth will have the capability to get out of the drop zone. A win and a draw with all Bury and Notts County losing all remaining games would be enough to catch up.

End of season prediction 23rd

23rd - Wrexham

Will have to win all 3 remaining games to have a hope while all other sides playing for survival will have to lose.

End of season prediction 22nd

24th - Cambridge

Saturday finally put Cambridge out of their misery but with all the pressure off them, they managed to beat Chesterfield 4-1 and makes for a 7 way struggle for 2nd division survival. Still possible for Cambridge to get off the foot of the table at Wrexham's expense and the Cobblers will hope they don't get their first away win when they arrive at Sixfields on the last day of the season.
