"I am looking forward to getting started," Gray told the Chronicle.
"The players have been following their summer schedules and a lot of pre-season planning has been going on.
"We have been planning the training and I am looking forward to Monday."
There are only two new faces in the squad so far, Liam Davis and Leon Osman but there could be more to come.
"Things certainly aren't finished in terms of signings," said the Cobblers boss.
"Obviously we are looking to bring in more players and we will be working on that behind the scenes."
