The former Swansea player's last spot kick was in a play off final shoot out which he missed but he was confident this time to take the responsibility.
Akinfenwa has not been able to put in a full pre season but he was please to be able to play most of the opening game and to scored a couple of goals.
Bayo said, "I was a bit apprehensive about playing on Saturday because I've not really trained properly all pre-season. I got through the game ok though, I think as a team we played well and that will give us a lot of confidence going forward."
