Beaten by Bayo - Shrimps Aim to Bounceback

The Shrimps remain fifth in the table despite narrow away defeats at Mansfield and AFC Wimbledon in their two games, the Dons goal coming from ex-Cobbler Bayo Akinfenwa.

"We’re doing well at home but it’s unpredictable," said manager Jim Bentley of the upcoming match. "Northampton are one of the bigger clubs and invested and then they go and get beaten by Accrington."

Town themselves can go above their hosts with a victory and despite Chris Wilder's misgivings about some of his side's defending in recent games they have an attacking threat to their play that was not present throughout much of last season.

Indeed they are the top goalscorers in League Two and Wilder is keen to get the best of both worlds from his team, telling the official NTFC website this week: "There is a lot of hard work to be done on the training ground."

Northampton last visited the Globe Arena in March when a 1-1 draw earned them a valuable point in their battle against relegation.
