16,671 watched Pompey face Cambridge United at the weekend and another big crowd will be in attendance at Fratton Park to watch two teams who have made unbeaten starts to the season.

Portsmouth manager Andy Awford praised his 'fantastic' players after they survived a red card to defeat the U's and also told BBC Radio Solent that he has 'a very good squad of players' for the campaign ahead.

Northampton will travel in good spirits after Marc Richards netted a superb free-kick in the closing stages to earn a draw at York City and although Chris Wilder felt the performance could have been better he also praised the attitude of his side.

The two sides meet for the 26th time. Check out the head-to-head records here.
