Bolton v Northampton. Match preview

Last updated : 26 August 2008 By Dave Foster

The Swede damaged a hamstring during Saturday's 1-0 Barclays Premier League defeat at Newcastle and is struggling to make the game.

Midfielder Matt Taylor suffered a foot injury at St James' Park and could miss out, although Wanderers boss Gary Megson intends to field as strong a side as possible.

Northampton manager Stuart Gray will be without striker Leon Constantine for the clash.

Constantine missed the goalless draw with Millwall on Saturday with a thigh strain and is unlikely to feature in the Cobblers' first trip to the Reebok Stadium.

However, Gray is set to be boosted by the return of Danny Jackman and Colin Larkin.

The pair both missed out at the weekend with thigh problems of their own but could feature against the Trotters, with Larkin set to partner Adebayo Akinfenwa in attack..

Gray will have to wait to find out if on-loan Wolves defender Mark Little can continue.

Little made his second debut for the club against the Lions after returning on loan but Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has yet to grant permission for him to play in the competition and will decide on Tuesday morning.
