Bring Me Sunshine! Cobblers Need Morecambe Boost

Only a last-gasp Dagenham & Redbridge equaliser prevented a fifth successive win for Morecambe on Saturday but they will travel to Sixfields in good spirits, confident that their opponents will be desperate for a change in fortunes.

"After another slow start where we conceded first again, we controlled the game for long periods and had it not been for their keeper we could have scored a few more and had the game won," said assistant manager Ken McKenna after the Dagenham game.

For Northampton it was a familiar tale of no points and no goals away from home but Aidy Boothroyd again insisted after the defeat at Masfield that his side were close to turning their fortunes around.

A repeat of last season's 3-0 for the home side in the corresponding fixture would be very welcome. Check out the full head-to-head record of the two sides by clicking below.
