Northampton look to move past 80 points for the season with a win at Sixfields which will take them one step closer to promotion while Cambridge are only three points behind the play-off places in League Two.
U's boss Shaun Derry believes both teams are much improved from when they met at the Abbey Stadium earlier in the season and wants his players to take the positives from playing in front of a good crowd and a large travelling support.
He told the official CUFC website: "We’ll be taking the best part of 1,000 fans, which is once again remarkable.
"When players have the chance to play in grounds that are packed to the rafters, it more often than not brings out the best in them. I want them to be energised, invigorated and ready for the game.”
