Cobblers Beaten By Classy Oldham

It all started well for Town, but a passionate crowd and an early spell of pressure wasn't enough to stop the Latics steamrollering through Sixfields and taking a well earned three points.

A late injury to Greg Lincoln gave Chris Marsh a start and Chris Carruthers replaced John Frain in the starting line up. Oldham wasted a host of first half chances before taking the lead in the 67th minute.  Wayne Andrews volleying home a curling shot from 15 yards.  Ex Cobbler Carlo Corrazin had just entered the field of play, he had no part in the goal but first to join the celebrations.

Andrews scored his second and wrapped up the points in the final minute, Jerry Gill looked to be fouled on the half way line, but Andrews broke clear before slipping the ball past Lee Harper from just inside the penalty area.
