Ian Sampson felt his side could have taken maximum points from Saturday's clash with Chesterfield
Firm in his belief that Northampton were the 'only team that looked like winning' the game, Sampson added: "Chesterfield are a good team and very strong at the back but I'm sure they would have been pleased with a goalless draw."
Town are now unbeaten in seven games, with no goals conceded in five but the boss rued 'the lack of a final pass or shot' from his side as they looked to break down the Spireites.
Bottom club Darlington are the next opponents for the Cobblers, this coming Tuesday night.
