Burton Albion are the visitors on Boxing Day before Swindon Town see out 2011 on 31 December.
Both sides currently lie in the play-off places and will provide a tough test of Aidy Boothroyd's belief that the Northampton Town side he has inherited is in reasonably good shape.
The manager will be hoping to provide some Christmas cheer to home supporters who have witnessed just one win at Sixfields to date in the current campaign.
