Boss Stuart Gray thought his team should have scored more goals.
"The only thing that was disappointing was the fact we didn't score more goals and allow ourselves a more comfortable final 10 minutes.
"First and foremost we had to get through the tie into the next round and I was pleased with our performance. Even when we missed chance after chance after chance we saw it out to the final whistle.
"We had had a couple of situations this season against Leyton Orient and Tranmere where we've lost two-goal leads, so I kept reminding the players about that at half-time.
"And after our last match here against Bristol Rovers it was important we put that performance behind us."
