Northampton Town start the new 2012/2013 season with a trip to Spotland to take on Rochdale.
The season opens on Saturday August 18 against John Coleman's men, the former Accrington Stanley boss having taken over at Rochdale too late to prevent relegation from League One.

“I don’t mind being away first," said Aidy Boothroyd, quoted in the Chronicle & Echo.
"We have the home games in pre-season to get players used to playing at Sixfields and what that is all about and I honestly have no preference.
“You’ve got to play them all at some point and the Rochdale game will be a really good one for us, I’m really looking forward to it."
