Marc Richards was back in action for the Cobblers Reserves against QPR on Tuesday, his first game since being carried off with a ruptured knee ligament in the 1 – 1 home draw against Chester on 19 November 2005. He only lasted 7 minutes of the Chester match, having only just got back from an injury sustained in September.

The Reserve match, which saw them win 2 – 0 through goals from Lee Barnard and David Hicks, was more successful and he completed a full 90 minutes. Rico has now set his sights on getting back into the first team, declaring himself fit and available for this Friday’s game against Wycombe, if required.
