Cobblers v Foxes. Match preview

Last updated : 31 January 2009 By Dave Foster
The Foxes are odds on for promotion to the Championship and will test a Northampton side that's looking to overcome the disappointment of losing at Colchester in midweek.

The BBC are repoorting that Giles Coke could be missing (hip injury) but Liam Davis should play as he prepares for a hernia operation on 5 February.

Adebayo Akinfenwa faces a late fitness test (hamstring), Jason Crowe is a doubt (Achilles tendon) and Paul Rodgers is banned for one game.

Leicester defender Bruno Berner is a doubt (calf) and striker Steve Howard may recover from illness.

Paul Dickov may be replaced, so Howard is likely to link up with Matty Fryatt.

"I think they'll go up automatically," said Stuart Gray on Leicester. "What we need to do is make sure we take four points off them. We did well at their place and got a well-deserved draw. They are quite a direct team and they play to their strengths.

"They've got Steve Howard and Fryatt, who plays off him. They are quite rigid in their shape and I know any team Nigel Pearson puts out is going to be well organised.

"It's going to be a good game for us. We're performing well at home and the crowd will be buoyant.

"They've sold out their allocation and I think it will be a sell-out so it should generate a good atmosphere."
