The on-loan Luton striker served a one-match ban against Bradford last time out having picked up five yellow cards this season but should go straight back into the starting line-up against the side where he spent most of the 2001/02 season on loan.

Defender Tamika Mkandawire, who was unable to feature against the Bantams after he failed a late fitness test with a thigh problem, is also back in contention.

He will compete with Alton Thelwell and loan signing Jordan Spence, who made an impressive debut in the 2-1 FA Cup win at Valley Parade, for a place at the back.

Orient are though still without forward Wayne Gray, who is a long-term casualty with a knee injury, while defender Brian Saah is unlikely to be involved because of a hamstring problem.

Northampton boss Stuart Gray could hand a debut to defender Kurt Robinson.

The 20-year-old left-back has joined on a month-long loan deal from Ipswich and could be handed a place in the Cobblers defence against Orient.

Town boss Gray is also boosted by the return of forward Colin Larkin (thigh) and midfielder Abdul Osman (knee) who both come back into contention after a month out having come through 90 minutes of the 1-0 reserve defeat to Peterborough during the week.

Captain Chris Doig is still on the sidelines with a hamstring injury while striker Adebayo Akinfenwa is not yet fit enough to return from a calf problem and will not be considered for the match.

Goalkeeper Frank Fielding makes his penultimate appearance of his loan spell from Blackburn.
