The hundred or so Cobblers fans who made the journey to Hereford on Tuesday night were treated to a goal fest at Edgar Street.

Jamie Forrester, recalled to the side opened the scoring after only 25 seconds following a sweet Cobblers move. It took the home side only five minutes to level, Chukki Eribenee made the most of a Nathan Abbey error.

Paul Harsley opened his Cobblers goal scoring account on 11 minutes to restore Town's advantage, following up a rebound from Marco Gabbiadini's low drive.

Eribenne equalised again on 32 minutes drilling the ball past Abbey following a scramble.

The score remined 2-2 until eight minutes from time, Paul Parry driving home a sweet finish from 12 yards. This looked to have won the game for the Bulls, but a crazy moment in stoppage time gave Town an equaliser. Richard Hope flicked the ball on and Derek Asamoah made sure at the far post, to take the game into extra time.

The goalden goal was scored by Jamie Forrester from the penalty spot six minutes into extra time after Chris Carruthers had been fouled in the box. This wrapped up the evenings entertainment.
