Only one player, Chris Carruthers has sorted out his future with the club after agreeing a 2 year contract on Friday following his move from the youth team into first team football. The other ten players including captain Roy Hunter, keeper Keith Welch, Chris Hargreaves, loanee Sam Parkin and six other key names will have to decide on their future in the close season.

Cobblers fans will have to hope as many key names as possible will remain at the club as nearly 400 have already purchased their seats for the 2002/03 season. The discounted rate will continue until the 3rd May by that time the club hope to have passed through the 1000 barrier.

Next season could prove to be an exciting season with Peterborough United looking to stay up, Rushden and Diamonds still in the hunt for a play off place and Luton Town already securing their place back in the 2nd division.
