Crewe boss: the better team didn't win

"We probably ran out of luck a little bit," he said after Bayo Akinfenwa's equaliser and Neal Kitson's penalty save earned the Cobblers a valuable point.

"We’ve had luck recently when teams have been better than us but we’ve won, here I thought we were by far the better team but couldn’t quite win it.

"We didn’t get what we deserved but that happens. I won’t knock anyone. We are 10 games unbeaten at the right time of the season and we are earning the right to be where we are."

Aidy Boothroyd felt it was a 'fair result' in the end and praised his side's second half display.

"We got ourselves on the front foot," he told the official club website.
