Crunch Clash For Cobblers - Weather Permitting

Postponed once already, the clash of the bottom two sides in the Football League must be in serious doubt again after Torquay's home game against Bury was called off at midday on Saturday and with the continuing poor weather.

If the game does go ahead then Town know that chances are running out for them to put together the type of run that will take them out of the relegation zone.

New manager Chris Wilder could not fault his side's effort against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday but another early goal conceded once again gave the Cobblers a mountain to climb.

"We've got to do better defensively," he said after the 2-0 reverse against the Pilgrims left his side seven points adrift of safety and with another crucial fixture gone.

***Update*** Northampton have made yet another new signing on the eve of the game, Millwall striker John Marquis joining on loan until the end of the season. He has spent time on loan in League Two this season with both Portsmouth and Tuesday's opponents Torquay United.
