Hall told BBC Look East: "At Coventry City, he was probably a bit naive. He's got more confidence here and he does really well at left-back.
"His attacking qualities are there to see. He's got a very bright future."
Hall is one of just four players in the Northampton squad aged over 30, and he hopes his experience will help the youngsters in the squad.
"It's all about confidence with the youngsters," he said.
"They need to be playing games to get that experience, but the more they play the more we'll gel, and the higher we'll climb in the table."
