FA Cup: Eyes On The Prize For Northampton

Although they will need to be on their guard against an upset, with Northwich flying high at the top of their division, the Cobblers are strong favourites to progress to the next round.

That is, of course, the stage when all of the Premier League and Championship clubs enter the fray and allows for the hope of a high-profile and/or lucrative tie against one of the big names in the game.

Promotion from League Two is now the main focus of the season, thanks to the hard work of Chris Wilder and his team, but a money-spinning match against a Premier League side would be just reward for all of the efforts made behind the scenes by the Town staff over the past few difficult months.

Speaking to the official NTFC website, new chairman Kelvin Thomas said: “We need to be professional, Saturday is important for everybody and for me the FA Cup hasn’t lost its magic."
