All three parties have reported to come away from the meeting with positive comments. Barry Stonhill has confirmed through the club's official site that the board have agreed to sell the club to Mr Fashanu's consortium. Mr Fashanu has stated that the deal is 90% complete and he is confident that the deal will move forward.
This will prove exciting times for Cobblers fans and staff alike and will bring much needed interest into the town of Northampton itself. Everyone will have to be patient as the fine points of the deal are completed, although the club have stated on the website that the deal could take a matter of weeks to go through.
