Gray on Coke

"He is a young old fashioned box to box midfield player with two good feet and an excellent range of passing and can make things happen," said the Cobblers boss.

"We have made more than one offer to Mansfield but they have turned those down. Giles has agreed terms with us so now the fee will go to a tribunal. He is at that age where he has a lot of potential to fulfil.

"He suffered an injury in January of last season and he is still several weeks away from being fit to train fully but he should hopefully be ready for just after the start of the season.

"I think he will fit in well with the squad we have here and is another young player with bags of potential. He is a player who does the ugly jobs well and he gives us a good balance in midfield with the players who are already here.

"The squad is now starting to take shape. You always want more as a manager, and I am now looking to bring in a couple of players up front before the season starts, but we may have to wait until we are a little way into pre-season before there is anything concrete to report."
