Starting with the visit of Southend today Northampton must overcome the three point gap above them to safety. The do have two games in hand but it's points that matter and they need to be on the board asap.
"We have to start the game well and we need the fans right behind us," said Gray.
"Given the position we are in, we need every bit of help we can and every cheer and every bit of support we can get on Monday will be a lift for us.
"We are in a 6 game season now and we have to make life very difficult for Southend.
"We have to keep believing we can and will get out of trouble and we have to keep doing what is right and come out fighting.
"Southend will want to get back to winning ways after their loss on Friday but we have to make sure they don't do that. We have four home games left and if we win them then I am sure we will be fine."
