Wing-back Liam Davis is out with a one-game ban which he should have served at Brighton and Ipswich defender Kurt Robinson has also returned to Portman Road.
Captain Chris Doig remains the only long-term absentee as he nurses his way back from a hamstring injury.
Gray said: "We were hoping that Chris was going to play for the reserves this week but that game was postponed.
"There is another reserve game scheduled for next week so hopefully he will play in that. We don't want to take any risks with Chris and we will only put him back in the first team when we feel and he feels that he is ready."
