Gray upset after another defeat

The latest upset, a 2 - 0 home defeat by Walsall has left boss Stuart Gray disappointed once again.

"We had a couple of really good chances to take the lead," said Gary

"The disappointing thing was that we didn't work their goalkeeper enough and then we got caught on the break.

"It was a scrappy game and I always felt that the defining moment was probably always going to be the first goal."

Gray admitted that Cobblers were "in a predicament at the moment".

"We need to make sure that we are hard to beat. We have got to stop gifting goals to other teams and at the other end we need to have a little bit more quality in the final third."

Northampton face Brighton on Tuesday night. The Seagulls occupy the 1st relegation spot and would overtake the Cobblers if they were to win at The Withdean.
