High Stakes As York Hit Sixfields

Last updated : 11 April 2013 By County Ground

While the Cobblers have automatic promotion in their own hands, it is the fear of dropping out of the Football League that is driving York City and their veteran striker Richard Cresswell.

He told local newspaper The Press that the Minstermen will travel in confident mood after some improved performances under new manager Nigel Worthington and Cresswell is also relishing his duel with Clarke Carlisle.

"I’ve played against him a lot over the years and, no doubt, it will be another good battle to watch. I am looking forward to it."

Worthington will no doubt spend the week drilling into his side the kind of test they will face at Sixfields but knowing and dealing with it are two separate things as a host of visitors have found out this season.
