Chris Wilder has signed the Leicester City midfielder on loan for a second time after Taylor's spell with Town early last season was cut short by injury.
With Jason Taylor suspended for Saturday's game at home to Plymouth Argyle and Wilder looking for a reaction to the midweek defeat against Barnet, a second debut for the new arrival looks likely.
A back spasm may rule out Ricky Holmes but the manager confirmed to the official NTFC website that Zander Diamond should be fit to play.
Speaking about Saturday's opponents, Wilder commented: “Plymouth always travel well in terms of their backing, they are a big club and they’ve got some good players at the top of the pitch."
