Midfielder Checks In At Sixfields

The 25-year-old former Watford man moves from Bristol Rovers after activating a clause in the three-year contract he signed in the summer of 2013 following Rovers' relegation from the Football League.

Despite his side's poor season, O'Toole enjoyed a good campaign on a personal level, scoring 15 goals, and had been linked with moves to League One newcomers Scunthorpe United and Chesterfield.

He said recently: "I do feel bad about the fact that I am leaving the club just after we have been relegated and it was in the back of my mind to want to put things right. Things aren't always that simple though.

"And after thinking about it long and hard I reached a decision that playing in the Conference, unfortunately, was not going to be right for me."
