Northampton battling Crawley for striker

"I won't hide the fact that Northampton have made an offer," the Burton Albion forward, quoted in the Derby Evening Telegraph, has said.

"But I'm contracted to Burton and I hope to see my contract out.

"I've been here six years and enjoyed every moment of it – but I'm also not going to lie and say I'm happy to be sitting on the bench."

Big-spending Blue Square Premier side Crawley are also thought to be keen on Harrad, whose contract with Burton is up in the summer.

The 26-year-old has been with the Brewers since 2005 and has netted 10 times so far this season.
