Northampton Come Out Strongly From Championship Tests

Town were more than a match for both Championship sides and showed a good cutting edge on Tuesday against Blues with summer signing Nicky Adams netting twice and impressing a number of Cobblers fans judging by comments on social media during and after the match.

Chris Wilder was more than satisfied with how both games went and told the official NTFC website that his squad is 'in good nick' as the start of the League Two season edges ever closer.

A further chance to work on the attacking side of the game should come this weekend when Wilder's side make the short journey to face Brackley Town in the Maunsell Cup.

Then there is a Friday night trip to face Sheffield FC before the big kick-off on Saturday 8 August when Bristol Rovers are Northampton's hosts in their first game back in the Football League.
