The Cobblers have announced who the new boss will be for the rest of this season.

Kevan Broadhurst, the new Cobblers boss.

The club have took the obvious option and appointed Kevan Broadhurst the new manager of Northampton Town until at least the end of the season. Kevan who had been given the caretaker job for an initial month has impressed at the club with a few good results in his short spell in charge.

Chairman Barry Stonhill said: "Kevan will be in charge until the end of the season.

"The board are delighted with the job he has done and although his appointment is until the end of the season at least, we will be reviewing matters as time progresses with a view to extending that.

"The board feel there has been a marked improvement both on and off the field in the last month. As a board we will continue to try and support Kevan and the team as much as we can."
