Northampton V Dag Red at Sixfields Stadium - Match Preview

Touch and go for trio

Chris Hackett, Joe Widdowson and Roy O'Donovan are all touch and go for Northampton's home clash against Dagenham.

Winger Hackett missed last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Oxford as a precaution due to a groin injury, as did full-back Widdowson, who is struggling with a neural complaint.

Striker O'Donovan overcame an ankle problem to start at the Kassam Stadium but has since suffered ill-effects. Boss Aidy Boothroyd must now decide whether the trio are fit enough to feature against the Daggers.

Clive Platt (calf), Matt Heath (thigh), Alex Nicholls (broken leg), Kelvin Langmead (knee) and Lewis Hornby (back) all remain sidelined.

Dagenham will check on goalkeeper Chris Lewington ahead of the trip.

The Daggers' first-choice shot-stopper missed last weekend's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Cheltenham due to a twinge in his back.

Lewington has trained all this week and a decision will be made on his fitness prior to the clash at Sixfields, with replacement Jordan Seabright once again on standby.

Full-back Gavin Hoyte serves the second game of his three-match suspension for the red card he received in the 5-2 Johnstone's Paint Trophy triumph at Southend.
