Northampton V Oxford Utd at Sixfields Stadium - Match Preview

Northampton's injury problems continue to grow for Tuesday's Sky Bet League Two visit of Oxford after Lee Collins suffered a trapped nerve in his foot.

The defender missed Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Cheltenham and is a doubt.

Collins joins Zander Diamond (ankle), Marc Richards (hamstring), Ian Morris (knee), Evan Horwood and Lewis Hornby (both tendonitis) on the treatment table.

Goalkeeper Matt Duke, defenders Kelvin Langmead, Gregor Robertson and Ben Tozer and midfielder Darren Carter are available

Oxford could hand a start to Alfie Potter when they make the trip.

The winger stepped off the bench on Saturday to make his first appearance for six weeks and having grabbed the second goal in a 2-0 win over Tranmere he will hope to be rewarded with a start.

Manager Michael Appleton expects to have an unchanged squad as they look to make it back-to-back victories but he will assess striker Tyrone Barnett who rolled his ankle having opened the scoring against Rovers while Callum O'Dowda has tight hamstrings.

Tareiq Holmes-Dennis looks set to keep his place after an impressive debut having arrived on loan from Charlton
