Northampton themselves are back for pre-season this week with two days of tests at the University of Northampton.
Manager Chris Wilder believes his side have a tough start to the campaign with trips to York and Portsmouth following the Mansfield game but said this week: “People will be looking at our game and thinking they’ve got to play Northampton and that we’re a lot better than we were last year."
