McGregor who missed the 4-1 win against Wycombe will have to sit and watch his colleagues against Wigan and Cambridge in an exciting conclusion to the season. The 27 year old has managed 39 appearances so far this season and scored 3 times.

Meanwhile another player suffering from a knee injury, Duncan Spedding is making a recovery and is expected to be available in time for the final game with Cambridge.

Spedding has been out of action since Bournemouth where he also picked up a red card for his second bookable offence. The Cobblers midfielder had also picked up 5 yellow cards early on in the season.
