League One side Leyton Orient join Sheffield United in making the trip to Sixfields with the O's game pencilled in for Saturday 26 July at 3pm.
The Cobblers preparations for the new season will conclude at Eastleigh on Friday 1 August at 7:30pm with Chris Wilder hoping for a tough workout from the Conference Premier newcomers.
A Northampton XI, meanwhile, will play local friendlies against Cogenhoe United, Wellingborough Town and Daventry Town.
