Harsley a 24 year old signed on Sunday night for the Cobblers, another free transfer. Paul has been out of a job since Halifax had to sack all but one of their squad back in April. The Shaymen who fell into administration just before the relegation into the Football Conference were unable to keep the majority of the squad and the Cobblers have picked up probably the best player from the unfortunate team.

The 24 year old midfielder was forced into a more atacking role at Halifax and scored an amazing 11 times in 50 appearances. Harsley signed on for the Shaymen in May 2001 after spending 4 seasons at Scunthorpe where he played alongside other new signing Darryn Stamp.

The Cobblers are after yet another midfielder in Bradford City's Claus Jorgensen. The Bantams released Jorgensen last month after their own difficulties forced the release of many of their squad players. It is now up to the PFA and the FA on the future of the players who have departed Bradford City.
