Trailing by a goal to nil at half-time, Gary Johnson's side, which included debutant George Baldock, roared back to take all three points.

Davies levelled things up before Ben Tozer netted just a minute from time to make it two wins on the trot and push Northampton up towards mid-table in League Two.

"It was a game of two halves and we weren't very good in the first half and didn't really get going," said Johnson afterwards.

"We had to tell a few home truths at half time and to be fair to the boys, going up the hill, we knew we had to up it, up the tempo, the work rate and the ability.

"We were able to wrestle the onus away from them. It's not easy going up that hill but we suddenly got in their end and got the two goals we needed.

"We are getting better and we are getting a little bit of luck that we probably didn't have in the last few games."
