Tuesday Update: Sixfields The Focus On And Off The Pitch

Last updated : 20 October 2015 By County Ground

Supporters making their way to Sixfields for Tuesday night's home game against Carlisle United will, of course, have the unfinished East Stand as their constant visual companion throughout the match.

And the company employed to build that stand say they are owed nearly £3m by contracting company County Development Northampton Limited (CDNL) whose directors are listed as Town chairman David Cardoza and his father Anthony.

In a statement, Buckingham Group, who are trying to recoup the money through a bankruptcy petition, said: "We wish to make it clear that the reason why the East Stand construction works ceased completely in early June 2015 was entirely due to non-payment of monies due and certified.

"We stopped work because we were not paid."
