Yates - Cobblers Will Be Tough

Last updated : 07 December 2012 By County Ground

The Cobblers return to League Two action at Sixfields on Saturday looking to bounce back from defeats against Oxford and Leyton Orient.

Yates, in keeping with a number of managers who have faced Town this season, has warned of their danger from set-pieces and the threat of striker Bayo Akinfenwa.

Quoted on http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/story-17522541-detail/story.html? he said: "They are a big, strong side and they will put throws into the box from the halfway line.

"When I say throws, they are like bombs and they score directly from them."

Aidy Boothroyd is confident, meanwhile, that the quality of his players will shine through as the League Two season enters the busy festive period.

He told the Chronicle & Echo: “We’ve got players that I think are better than the level that we’re at, but until we are winning consistently then we won’t be better than that level.

“There will come a time when everything just clicks into place and we go on another run again."
