The inspiration of Richard Hill as assistant manager had clearly lifted the mood of the players who fought back fantastically in the second half. They trailed an 11th minute header from Michael Walsh. Town battled back well in the second half and were rewarded for their persistance, Marco Gabbiadini crashed home Chris Hargreaves cross from close range in the 62nd minute. Ian Sampson forced an amazing save from home keeper Dean Delaney moments later.

The real drama began in the final minutes, following a massive bout of pressure, Town though they'd stolen the points int he 89th minute. The impressive Tom Youngs crossed from the right, the ball skipped past Hargreaves, but Dudfield was on hand to lash the ball home at the far post. This sparked massive celebrations by the visiting supporters and the relief was clear on the players faces.

The tears of joy turned to tear of heartache as two minutes later the game had been lost. Peter Clarke headed home an equaliser in stoppage time to claim what looked like an unlikely point, but Adrian Littlejohn smashed home the winner moments later to stun everyone in the ground.
