Bury 1 Cobblers 1: Bosses agree on game of two halves

"I felt we edged the first-half with some good play," was how Northampton boss Ian Sampson saw Saturday's 1-1 draw with Bury, admitting to the official club website that he felt his side lacked 'a bit of bravery' after the break when the home side came back to earn a point.

Opposite number Alan Knill had harsh words for his men at half-time but was much happier with their display in the second 45 minutes.

"The passing was more direct and all of a sudden they were on the backfoot," said the Shakers boss.

"We were more aggressive, won more tackles and headers, and consequently we were by far the better team."
