Gray feels Cobblers lack consistency

"I felt we got outmuscled for their two goals. I am a great believer that if you stop the cross you stop the danger, but we seemed happy to let them deliver the cross for the first goal." said Stuart Gray.

"We had a good go in the second half, but on the back of the win over Leeds we should have been able to follow that result up. We just cannot start games sloppily and we did today and look what happened."

"We put Colchester under pressure in the second half. It was a game where Frank Fielding was not particularly busy, all he had to do was pick the ball out of the net twice but I can't recall too many saves that he had to make."

"We had some decent chances but we didn't put them away. Colchester are a good side in a false position. They were in the Championship last season and have some very good players and I think they will finish higher in the table than they are now."

"We are still lacking consistency as a team," Gray continued, "We have had two good wins lately but we started this game slowly and paid the price for that."
