"Both goals were situations we should have dealt with and we were not aware enough. Ultimately it was poor defending.
"I had to change things round a bit from the weekend because we've lost two players for a number of games and I needed to rest Adebayo Akinfenwa.
"But I thought we had enough quality out there to win the game but we were always chasing once we were two goals down.
"We have not got the biggest squad in the world so one positive is that we didn't lose any more players to injury."
